Privacy & cookies
Short version: this website doesn’t track you, doesn’t run ads and doesn’t set any cookies of its own. The longer version is below.

What we collect
Nothing, unless you send it to us. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel and no tracking cookie on this site. We don’t know who you are or which pages you looked at.
One thing does get stored, and it stays on your own device:
- Your bowl, when you tap “Order this on GrabFood”. The list of ingredients is copied to your clipboard so you can paste it into the order notes. It goes to your clipboard, not to us.
When you message us
This site no longer has any form. The buttons that used to be forms now open WhatsApp or your email app with a message already started — nothing is typed into this website and nothing is sent to this website’s server.
If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation happens inside WhatsApp, which is run by Meta. Meta receives your phone number and what you write, under their privacy policy, not ours. We see the same conversation on our phone. If you’d rather not use WhatsApp, email michaela@olaacai.sg and only we see it.
Either way we use what you send for one thing: replying to you and, for catering, preparing a quote. We don’t sell it, don’t rent it, and don’t add you to a mailing list. It stays in that chat or that mailbox until the enquiry is closed and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us about the same event.
Things on this site that come from somewhere else
Some parts of these pages are loaded from other companies’ servers. When your browser fetches them, it necessarily tells that company your IP address and roughly which page you were on. We’ve kept this list as short as we can:
- Google Fonts — the three typefaces used across the site.
- Google Maps — only if you ask for it. The map you see on the home page and the visit page is a plain picture stored on our own server, so nothing is sent to Google. Google Maps loads only after you press “Load interactive map”.
- OpenStreetMap — none, at page load. That picture of the streets was built from OpenStreetMap data once, when the site was made, and saved as an image. Your browser never contacts them. We credit them because their licence asks us to, not because they receive anything about you.
- YouTube — the Eatbook video on the story page. We use YouTube’s no-cookie domain, so it won’t set tracking cookies unless you press play.
- Vimeo — the floorball club video on the story page.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — only when you tap a “WhatsApp” button. That opens WhatsApp; the conversation and your phone number are handled by Meta. Nothing is sent to them if you don’t tap it.
- Our website firewall — every visit to this site passes through a security service (Sucuri, provided through GoDaddy) that sits in front of our server to block attacks. It necessarily sees your IP address for that purpose.
Links out to GrabFood, foodpanda, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok open those companies’ own sites, where their privacy policies apply, not ours.
